We need Nanny 911!

So we have finally decided to get Ollie and PenPen off the wee wee pads. Or, I should say, I have decided to do this, and Chris has no say! The problem is that we were both working when we got Ollie, and we didn't consider getting a dog walker at that time. So he was left unattended for long periods. We figured that wee wee pads were the answer. Sure, if you like for your house to smell like POO!

So, for the past two years, we have been spending $30 for 80 pads (about a week's supply). This is a lot of garbage, and a lot of poo-in-the-house. Not to mention, a LOT of money! Of course, there was the occasional, miss-the-target poo or pee, and we would inevitably have to clean the floor with Nature's Miracle after picking up said pad. Yeuck!

After watching 100s of Dog Whisperer episodes, I figured it was time to "rehabilitate" Ollie and Penny, and to teach the old dogs something new. It's not so hard, as long as we are consistent. However, Chris thinks it is impossible. I have faith in dog-kind and I know that they can learn. So we are never leaving them uncaged or unattended, and we are taking them out to the back patio five times a day. I think Chris was harder to re-train than O&P could ever be!

Wish us luck!
